I take bookings in three month blocks.

~ January-March, April-June, October-December ~

Once all my spaces for those three months are full, I close my bookings until just before the next block begins.

Please ensure you provide me with the following information:

  • Description of the design idea
  • Placement on the body and a photo of the area to be tattooed
  • Rough size in centimetres (please keep in mind I will only tattoo at a size that will age well and is appropriate for the detail)
  • Any reference photos that help illustrate your idea

My rate is $200 per hour for large and ongoing work, but some smaller tattoos may be priced by the piece. The minimum charge is $150. I can do my best to give you a time estimate of the tattoo once I have all the information, but this is just a guide as many factors can determine how long a tattoo will take to complete.

A $100 deposit is required when you make your booking, in order to have your spot confirmed. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. This deposit comes off the cost of your tattoo on the day.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please give as much notice as possible. At least 48 hours notice is required to keep your deposit valid.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment within that 48 hour period, or more than two times, a new deposit will be required to rebook.

To be tattooed by me you MUST be over the age of 18, regardless of parental consent. No exceptions.

Be sure to bring a current and valid photo ID with you to your appointment.

I tattoo from West Side Tattoo Mermaid Beach. 2478 Gold Coast Highway, Mermaid Beach, QLD, 4218

I prepare your design using your description and reference images as my guide. I don’t send out designs before the appointment time but am happy to make changes on the day if needed.

I will only tattoo my own designs, so reference photos are to be used as inspiration only.
I will only tattoo a design I am comfortable tattooing and may recommend another artist best suited to the job, if I feel your design idea is not something that falls into my style focus. My style preference is bold traditional colour tattoos.
I do not do finger tattoos or tattoos in white only ink.

I am happy to do coverup and rework jobs, however there are a lot of variables with this kind of work. If you’re wanting something covered or reworked, send clear photos of the existing tattoo and I will be able to advise as to whether we can go ahead with a booking or if you should first look into some laser treatments to lighten the tattoo.

Coverups mostly always need to be bigger and darker than the existing tattoo in order to effectively cover and disguise it. In nearly all coverup cases, it is highly beneficial to have laser treatments done as it greatly increases the options and results for the new design. If I think laser is necessary I will provide details of a laser technician for you to make an appointment with.

Other Info

For space and safety reasons, we can not have multiple spectators in the studio. If you would like to bring one person along for support if you are feeling a little nervous, that is fine, however they will still need to adhere to social distancing rules and be seated and not cause distraction during the appointment.

We do not allow children in the studio.

Be sure to avoid the sun prior to your appointment, as we cannot tattoo peeling or sunburnt skin.
